Flintknapping Trash - 1920's Glass Purex Bottle

"In the 1920's and 1930's, due to the Great Depression, a large number of Americans moved to the American Southwest in the hopes of starting a new life. On my property in New Mexico I discovered one small, run down, broken up cabin. This is an old depression era settlement. Since coming into its ownership, I have found square nails, old medicine bottles, rusted tools, shared of ceramics, old metal chunks and one Glass Purex Bleach Bottom. In an effort to turn "trash" into something new I decided to take this approximate 100 year old bottle and turn it into a knife."
